What is current, and what is unresolved?
Status as of 9 October 2026. “Current” records the project’s working position, not an independently proven fact. Pending decisions remain pending; labels are not retroactive publication approval.
| Concept / claim | Status | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Consequential power requires independent scrutiny | Current principle | A normative commitment; specific mechanisms still require evidence. |
| No permanent institutional lock-in | Current principle | A decision may be final; the governing structure must remain open to review and evolution. |
| Transparency, decentralization, AI assistance, rapid feedback | Engineering options | Context-dependent tools, not foundational axioms. |
| Institutional Information Fidelity Theory (IIFT) | Claims narrowed; label unresolved | The master-theory claim, “information explains everything,” and “more fidelity is always better” are retired. This does not retire every associated research question. |
| Axiom 0: standing of affected people | Under review | A layered standing problem, not an established overriding principle. |
| Candidate marked “MIP” | Under review | Its full name, authoritative definition, and place in the framework are not confirmed here. It is not an adopted principle. |
| Bounded consequences / “blast radius” | Engineering question | Define measurable harm, scope, thresholds, and who may pause a system before considering stronger status. |
| Explicit evidence dependencies | Exploratory proposal | The manual pilot has no reported results. Provenance does not by itself establish truth. |
Future status changes should record the old position, new position, reason, source, and date. Anyone can submit a challenge to this register.
