About this project
CivitasOS is an evolving institutional design and research project initiated by Yuming Qian (Ming / 钱宇明). It asks how consequential power can face independent scrutiny and how institutions can change without reopening every decision forever.
Responsibility is visible; authority is provisional
Ming is the current project maintainer and editorial contact. Naming the initiator makes responsibility traceable; it does not establish ownership of ideas or a claim of priority. Contact the project through the challenge form.
Contact or challenge the projectNo founder’s permanent veto
This is a design commitment, not a completed governance arrangement. Publication and domain control remain concentrated. Independent review, succession, recovery, and replacement procedures are not fully implemented; this website should not be mistaken for proof that they are.
Contributions & artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, have assisted drafting, critique, translation, and implementation. They have participated in shaping the framework and are not independent validators. Agreement between them is not independent evidence. Human contributors remain responsible for publication decisions.
Ideas belong to no one. Contributions remain traceable. Send prior work, attribution corrections, or disputes through the same contact channel.
