What Makes an Institution Worthy of Trust?

Bilingual review draft v0.4.1 · not published

On 9 October 2026, the author judged version 0.3.2 not ready for publication and its full text was removed. A substantially rewritten bilingual draft now exists for author review. Version 0.4.1 adds a source audit and argumentative boundary without changing the essay structure. The source manuscript and version history are retained; this page reports status only and does not publish the revised body.

What changed in the review draft

The draft states a positive standard of competence, constraints and revisable reliance; distinguishes attitudes from performance; and proposes a matched-resource test of whether review relationships shorten unresolved-error time. A full reading of Sztompka’s 1997 working paper adds an important boundary: corrective controls may support trust as available reserves, yet routine or hyperactive activation can signal pervasive breach and weaken trust. The restricted 1998 journal text has not been compared page by page.
